Princess Zelda has appeared in many games across the series and is always helpful to Link and that is why she is the namesake of the series! Here's a fun fact about Zelda, during the development of the game everyone was named, and the game was ready to go! But the fair maiden had no name, and they asked a friend could they use his wife's name which happened to be Zelda Fitzgerald, and she agreed and thus "The Legend of Zelda was born!"
